Arguably the most beautiful basilica in Turin is the Santuario della Consolata (Sanctuary of Our Lady of Consolation.) For centuries, the image of this Madonna has been most beloved by the Turinese people because of the many times she has protected the city. A portrait of Blessed Frassati is displayed in one of the many side chapels. He often attended Mass at La Consolata and used one of the side doors as a meeting place for his many "appointments" to serve the poor of Turin. "Meet me at six o'clock," he would say, "under the Consolata clock."
