"Unfortunately earthly friendships produce sorrow in our hearts because of the departure of those we love, but I would like for us to pledge a pact which knows no earthly boundaries nor temporal limits: union in prayer." (Letter from Pier Giorgio to Isidoro Bonini, January 15, 1925)
Dear Friends of Pier Giorgio,
On Sunday, April 22nd, Bishop Francis DiLorenzo (Bishop of the Diocese of Richmond, VA) will preside at the Noon Mass on the Campus of Virginia Tech. Bishop DiLorenzo has also asked all parishes in the diocese to have a special Mass in memory of the victims and their families. Most of us are unable to physically participate in these special Masses. Therefore, FrassatiUSA invites you to join in a special novena of prayers beginning this Sunday, April 22nd, for the victims at Virginia Tech. Blessed Pier Giorgio is known as the patron of university students. Together, let us ask him to intercede for the souls of those who have died and for the consolation of those who are left behind to mourn their loss.
Please visit the website each day for the special novena prayers and meditations. FrassatiUSA will notify the Diocese of Richmond of our special prayers on their behalf. You may add your personal condolences and spiritual gifts to our communication by following the instructions which will be posted very shortly on this website.
